Greenhouse effect
The causes of the recent warming are an active field of research. The scientific consensus is that the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases due to human activity has caused most of the warming observed since the start of the industrial era, and the observed warming cannot be satisfactorily explained by natural causes alone. This attribution is clearest for the most recent 50 years, which is the period when most of the increase in greenhouse gas concentrations took place and for which the most complete measurements exist.

Global warming is cause by many factors such as air pollution, deforestation, burning of fuels etc. The biggest business sectors that are contributing to global warming are industry, transportation, residential, commercial and agriculture. Ice and snow covers cool the earth by reflecting sunlight. However, an increase in global warming will melts all the ice and snow eventually thus led to an increase in sea level. Average temperature will also increase. In order to reduce global warming, we need to reduce the amount of green house gases produced and use more clean energy sources such as solar energy. These clean energy sources do not produce the harmful green house gases.
